Island is a roleplay and strategy game where you are on an island alone.
It reminds me a bit of ‘Don’t Starve’ with is game mechanics, but this game is better as I think this game does give a lot more attention to detail and concentrates more on traits of the human body and how a person would actually survive on a desert island.
This game doesn’t take time to get the hang of, but it still offers a satisfying challenge.
You’ll be exploring the Island for resources that can save your life but doesn’t mean there won’t be dangers lurking…
As night starts to close in, you’ll need to make sure you have enough time to get back to your shelter as danger looms in the dark and if you don’t have enough time to get back to your shelter, the only way you’ll survive is to build a new one with anything you can find.
The Island is full of different terrains, and each territory comes with its own challenges like sunburn, as well as its own benefits like fruit and wood. Each area will have its own resources that you will need to survive on the island…
Hunting is a big part of survival, and so you’ll have to learn how to do this by eating more and keeping your strength up, as your power grows, you’ll have the ability to hunt which comes with great risk, but the risk is worth the reward, mostly…
The end game is to escape from the island, but this won’t be easy as there’s going to be a lot of different setbacks, so make sure you’re always well prepared for the island, good luck!
The game has amazing details, from the island to the lonely survivor, the details of what would happen to the human body if this did happen, for example, you’d get sunburnt, and you even see hallucinations, it is really realistic, and it doesn’t stop there. The island has its own weather system in places, so you’ll never know what will happen in the day’s weather cycle, and the island has its own tide, the amazing attention to details really makes this game stand out, and it makes the game seem like you are really stuck on an island!
